DataNumen Word Repair certainly has a self-explanatory name. This tool helps you fix DOC and DOCX files that may have gotten corrupted due to such reasons as incorrect transfers and accidental data losses. In this regard, it can become an excellent companion to data recovery tools.
The program has a neat interface which I do not think anyone can have problems to use. It has tabs that respond to its workflow and different features. For instance, the Repair tab lets you fix a single file, which you can add via the file manager or the built-in file search utility. Regrettably, it does not support drag-and-drop operations. The Batch Repair tab does quite the same but it allows processing batches of files instead.
Fortunately, the program supports repairing documents created with any of the versions of Microsoft Word. Likewise, it does an excellent job in recovering not only text but also images, formatting, bulleted lists, tables, bookmarks and hyperlinks. Good news is that the processing is non-destructive, which means that the original file is kept untouched and a new modified file is created instead.
All in all, DataNumen Word Repair has a reputation for being quite successful in terms of Word document recovery. Although it can be used for free, you get constant annoying reminders. Thus, if you want to get rid of them, you need to buy a Business License, which is meant for commercial usage.
